- From profit to four straight losses. Salesforce lost money every year from fiscal 2013 to 2016: $0.8 billion in all. Fiscal 2017 was its first profit in five years: $0.3 billion.
- It outgrew its own economy many times over. Revenue rose from $6.7 billion in fiscal 2016 to $41.5 billion in fiscal 2026: 6.2 times as much. The US economy, counted the same way in money terms, grew about 65%. Whatever drove it, the economy around it does not account for growth of that size.
- Leaders came and went. Salesforce filed 42 leadership changes since 2016, more than 92% of large service companies (the median is 22). The day after each, its shares moved a median 0.2 points against its sector. The news was rarely news.
- Nine decisions on record. Stratrix has verified nine of Salesforce's big decisions, each with what happened next. The hardest year after: "Salesforce Shipped Three Agentforce Prices and Killed None of Them", with its shares 67 points behind the S&P 500 over the next year. The best: "When Partners Earn $5.80 Per Salesforce Dollar, the Ecosystem Guards the Gate Itself", 169 points ahead of the S&P 500 over the next three years.
