- From profit to nine straight losses. Bilibili lost money every year from 2016 to 2024: CN¥26.5 billion in all. 2025 was its first profit in ten years: CN¥1.2 billion.
- It outgrew its own economy many times over. Revenue rose from CN¥0.5 billion in 2016 to CN¥30.3 billion in 2025: 58.0 times as much. China's economy, counted the same way in money terms, grew about 83%. Whatever drove it, the economy around it does not account for growth of that size.
- It wasn't the cycle. The losses began in 2016, a year China economy grew 6.8%. When a company falls while its economy grows, look inside the company first.
- Ahead of almost everyone like it. From 2016 to 2025, its revenue grew 5394% in US dollars; the median among 258 large service companies grew 105%. It outgrew 99% of them.
