Data as of
October 18, 2026
  1. From profit to five straight losses. Marvell Technology earned $1.6 billion in fiscal 2020–2020. Then it lost money every year from fiscal 2021 to 2025: $2.7 billion in all. Fiscal 2026 was its first profit in six years: $2.7 billion.
  2. It outgrew its own economy many times over. Revenue rose from $2.7 billion in fiscal 2020 to $8.2 billion in fiscal 2026: 3.0 times as much. The US economy, counted the same way in money terms, grew about 39%. Whatever drove it, the economy around it does not account for growth of that size.
  3. The cycle hit it too. The losses began in fiscal 2021 (mostly calendar 2020), when the US economy shrank 2.1%. Part of the damage came from outside; the test is whether it recovered when the economy did.
