Every meeting about a bet-the-company decision argues whether the thesis is right, and that is the half nobody in the room can settle. The half that can be settled is arithmetic and is almost never done: how much of the bet is committed before the first piece of evidence that does not come from inside the building — an order, a paying customer, a regulator, an independent result — and whether the company survives being wrong about it. Two bets with the same total and the same thesis are different decisions if one spends a fifth before a real order arrives and the other spends four fifths, and no approval process produces that split. This pack produces it, sets it against what the board says the company can lose and still be itself, prices what a year of waiting costs beside what everything else earns, and returns a staging target you can put in a plan. It stops on two conditions: no outside evidence has been named and dated, and nobody has said what the company can lose.

What is the All-In Bet Strategy Pack

The All-In Bet Strategy Pack is a complete decision-support kit for one question: how much does this bet commit before anybody outside the company acts on it, and does the company survive being wrong? It is built around one organizing claim: the argument about the thesis cannot be settled in the room, and the argument about the profile of the spending is never had. Sixteen files carry it: the foundations, a concept deck, a scored decision wizard, a bet model blank and worked, the moves at each position, nine sourced bets, a fit worksheet, a roadmap template, a practitioner manual, a field checklist, and an orientation page.

The test that runs through every file

The profile of the spending, not the total, and whether being wrong is survivable. It is the argument in the deck, it becomes the wizard’s axes, it drives the model’s inputs, and it reappears as lines on the checklist. That is what makes 16 files a product rather than 16 documents.

The model resolves to one number you can negotiate with: The blind spend — what is committed before the first outside evidence. It ships blank and worked, and every input is a named cell rather than a figure buried inside a formula, so the number arrives with its assumptions attached rather than on its own authority.

Why the total on a bet-the-company approval paper decides nothing

A total says what the bet costs. It says nothing about when the money stops being recoverable by learning something. Two bets with the same total and the same thesis are different decisions if one spends a fifth of the money before a real customer places an order and the other spends four fifths — and nothing in the approval process produces that number.

This pack produces it, along with what it means: the blind spend as a share of the bet, that against what the company can lose and still be itself, what a year of waiting costs beside what everything else earns, and the largest share you could commit blind and still survive being wrong — a percentage you can put in a plan.

About the packagePDF
  • Foundations. The framework: the blind spend, the absorbable loss, why the cautious option is not therefore safe, and the two halts.
  • Concept deck. Twenty-two slides for the board or strategy session, with nine sourced bets and what each does not establish.
  • Decision wizard. Eight scored questions returning the band, the weakest answer, and either of the two halt conditions.
  • Bet model. Eleven candidate blind-spend shares across the columns, the staging target, what a year of waiting costs, and how far into the wait you can fund.
  • Strategies and tactics. The moves at each of the four positions, what changes when the bet is the whole company, and four ways to buy evidence earlier than it would arrive.
  • Case studies. Nine sourced bets, four of them two aircraft each bet on by the company that built it and the company that bought it.
  • Fit worksheet. The single page of record: the total, the blind spend, the evidence date, what the company can lose, the staging target and who can stop it.
  • Roadmap template. Five phases with gates and owners, the assumptions register, a trigger and a quarterly reporting line.
  • Practitioner manual. Building the total, dating the evidence, drawing the profile, getting the absorbable loss, the board paper, six failure modes.
  • Field checklist. The one-pager that survives outside the binder.
  • About the package. What each file does and the order in which to run them.

Who the All-In Bet Strategy Pack is for

A chief executive about to put a decision of this size to a board; a chief financial officer who suspects the profile of the spending has never been drawn; a board member holding a paper with a total and a thesis and no third number; a project sponsor who would rather be asked these questions now than in year three; a head of strategy whose investment committee has no absorbable loss on file; and the adviser who would otherwise start from a blank page. It is worth buying when a real decision is in front of you. It is not worth buying to read.

An honest note on fit

This is a kit for running a decision, not a research report and not a course. Worked examples use an explicitly fictional company with numbers tuned to teach rather than to flatter. In the worked case 65% of a $1.2bn bet is committed before any outside party acts, the board's absorbable loss is $600m, and the blind spend is therefore 1.3 times what the company could lose and remain itself — a finding that took one email to produce and had never been produced.

Two limits are stated on the page rather than worked around. The pack does not tell you whether the thesis is right, and nothing can in advance. And it does not price what the bet protects if you decline it — a position a rival would otherwise take, a capability you would have to buy later, an option on a market you cannot re-enter. Those are real and specific to you. What the pack supplies is the number they have to be argued against, which at present is usually no number at all.

Questions about the All-In Bet Strategy Pack

Does this tell me whether the bet is a good idea?
No, and any pack that claims to is selling something that does not exist. It tells you what the bet commits before anybody outside the company acts, whether being wrong about that is survivable, and what it would take to learn something sooner. One of the nine sourced cases is a company that got every number in this pack right and was beaten to the market it had created.
What number does the model produce?
Four. The blind spend as a share of the bet; that against what the company can lose and still be itself; a year of the blind phase against what everything else earns; and the staging target — the largest share you could commit before the evidence and still survive being wrong. The Model tab sweeps candidate blind-spend shares rather than time, so the staging target is a column you can read off the page.
Our bet cannot be staged. Is this still useful?
Especially then. A half-built factory produces nothing, and two of the bets in this set were won because the company refused to hedge. The pack prices the unstageable part and asks you to write one sentence saying it cannot be reduced — which turns taking the bet whole into a decision somebody made rather than a question no one asked.
Are the case studies real companies?
Yes. Nine sourced bets: Nvidia, Boeing, Pan Am, Airbus, Emirates, Meta, Moderna, Beyond Meat, and Pfizer. Each is dated, read through what was committed before anybody outside acted, and each states what its evidence does not establish. Four of the nine are two aircraft, each bet on from both sides. The worked model, wizard, and worksheet use an explicitly fictional company, labeled as such on every file.
What if no one can say what the company can lose?
Then the pack stops, and that is deliberate. It is one of two halt conditions, and both the wizard and the model refuse to produce a headline number without it — because a bet is only large in relation to the balance sheet behind it, and without that figure the total is neither big nor small. The manual sets out three places the number is usually already sitting.
Is this a subscription?
No. One payment, one download, sixteen files, yours to keep and to use inside your organization under the license included in the pack.
What is the All-In Bet Strategy Pack?
The All-In Bet Strategy Pack is a decision-support kit for one question: How much does this bet commit before anybody outside the company acts on it? It contains 16 files — foundations, concept deck, decision wizard, bet model, strategies and tactics, case studies, fit worksheet, roadmap template, practitioner manual, field checklist, about the package — built around a single organizing test: the profile of the spending, not the total, and whether being wrong is survivable. It is what a leadership team uses to run the decision and leave a record of what they assumed, rather than a report about the topic.
Who is the All-In Bet Strategy Pack for?
Anyone who has to make this call and answer for it: an operator or owner facing the decision, the executive team running it, the board or investor testing the reasoning, or an adviser who would otherwise build the framework from a blank page. It is worth buying when a real decision is in front of you. It is not worth buying to read.
