Data as of
October 18, 2026
  1. From profit to six straight losses. DoorDash lost money every year from 2018 to 2023: $3.7 billion in all. 2024 was its first profit in seven years: $0.1 billion.
  2. It outgrew its own economy many times over. Revenue rose from $0.3 billion in 2018 to $13.7 billion in 2025: 47.1 times as much. The US economy, counted the same way in money terms, grew about 45%. Whatever drove it, the economy around it does not account for growth of that size.
  3. It wasn't the cycle. The losses began in 2018, a year the US economy grew 3.0%. When a company falls while its economy grows, look inside the company first.
  4. One decision on record. Stratrix has verified one of DoorDash's big decisions, each with what happened next.
