Ask what large companies did: deals, restructurings, impairments, cyber incidents, bankruptcies, delisting notices, accounting warnings and leadership changes. Set it against the economy (interest rates, employment, investment, prices) or against how their shares did afterward.

Every number comes from the data and is sourced: company filings, public economic series from the US federal agencies, and returns relative to the sector derived from market data (no share prices). When the data can’t answer a question, the Analyst says so.

What you are asking

What it knows

What companies filed, and what followed

Deals, restructurings, impairments, cyber incidents, bankruptcies, accounting warnings and leadership changes from company filings, set against interest rates, employment and investment, and against how the shares did next.

How to use it

Start broad, then narrow

Ask how often a move happens and how it went, then narrow by industry, years or company. Follow-ups and filter changes don’t use up a question. Add the answers you want to keep to a Data Brief.

What it won’t do

Guess, or decide for you

Every figure links to the filing or public series behind it. When the data can’t answer, it says so rather than filling the gap. It is analysis and data, not advice: you make the call.
