What this pack runs.

Almost every board discussion of succession is about the candidate. The binding question is what the job is shaped like, and it is answerable before anybody is chosen. Two numbers describe it: how long the successor actually gets before a verdict forms — not the stated commitment, the real one, visible in how long the last two got — and how long a major decision in this business takes to show a result, measured from completed decisions rather than from a plan. Where the second is longer than the first, no decision the successor makes can finish inside the time they have, so the verdict is formed on their predecessor's decisions and the replacement inherits the same arithmetic. This pack computes both clocks from records the board already keeps, returns the gap in months and as a share of one decision cycle, and prices the profit running through commitments the successor did not make. It stops on two conditions: nobody has said how long the successor gets, and nobody has measured how long a decision here takes.

A verified record has passed a mechanical claim-versus-source check, a second model's read, and human approval. The count is what exists today, not a target.
