Widely considered the “father of modern management,” Peter Drucker was an Austrian-American author, consultant, and educator.

Notable Work: “The Practice of Management” (1954), “The Effective Executive” (1967), and “Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices” (1973)

Contributions: Drucker introduced several management concepts that are now foundational, such as Management by Objectives (MBO) and the concept of the “knowledge worker.”
